The scrapping standard of the first elevator in China mainly stipulates the scrapping technical conditions of the main components of the traction, forced drive elevator and hydraulic elevator. It is suitable for electric driven traction type, electric driven forced type passenger elevator and freight elevator with rated speed not more than 6.0m/s, and hydraulic elevator with rated speed not more than 1.0m/s. This standard can be applied to electrically driven traction passenger elevators and cargo elevators with rated speeds greater than 6.0m/s.

Standards do not apply to utility elevators.

For elevators used in special circumstances (such as those applicable to disabled persons, fire situations, potential explosive environments, extreme climatic conditions, earthquake conditions or transportation of dangerous goods), in addition to the requirements of this standard, the technical conditions for scrapping shall be determined in accordance with the additional requirements of the corresponding standard.
